NAME: Lenore
CANON: Castlevania (Netflix)
CANON POINT: Post-season 3
AGE: ???
BACKGROUND: [ wiki ]
PERSONALITY:
"I make peace. And because of that, people think I'm soft. People think I'm weak. You wont make that mistake again, will you?"
At the very root of it, Lenore means well. Only… the problem lies in her perception of what that means. Possessing a corrupted version of a savior complex, she wants to care for animals and wishes to take them under her wing – including humans, which speaks to just how she views them. She knows what would be best for them, after all, and thinks that they should simply yield their will to hers so that she may better take care of them. She never outright says that, nor does she even probably acknowledge that she treats humans like domesticated pets to be tamed and coddled, that is simply what they are to vampires like her, but at least she doesn’t view them as only a food source like her sisters. And while Lenore is ruled by her savior complex (which is likely twisted by the nature of her being a vampire), she does at least follow through in kind and does her best to accommodate her pets. Physically, they will have everything that they could ever need. Psychologically is another matter – it is all on how they feel about the whole ordeal and how they came to be one of hers, this part matters less to her as seen in the exchange between her and Hector after she’d declared to the ruling council just how it is he’s going to be handled from here on out.
As the diplomat, she’s shown to be patient and kind, although she is not afraid to draw the line and make it clear that she is not one to be trifled with when someone seeks to take advantage of her good nature. She knows her strengths and she plays to it well, and thus specializes in seduction and subversion. Lenore is not afraid to get her hands dirty with less than honest methods either and is as cunning and calculating as the rest of her sisters, despite how sincere she might seem with her honeyed words and comfortable demeanor. She views negotiation as commerce, a business transaction of give-and-take, and thus she has to remain shrewd in order to still attain what she wants out of the deal without losing too much in return – not that she wouldn’t try to heavily skew it to benefit her more in the end anyway. She believes that everyone has their price, even if it’s not one of gold or material things.
Lenore is a clever one, she simply plays on a different playing field than her sisters. Her territory is the navigation of the more social aspect of being, and the psychological landmine that is dealing with another sentient being with their own agenda and will. She learns by studying, and adapting her methods accordingly to get the results that she desires.
She conducts herself well for the most part, elegant and refined and yet she’s not afraid to be crass when it suits her. Lenore knows how to banter and tease, and possesses a sharp tongue even when she’s honed it silver. She’s true to herself, at the very least. The kind act is not simply an act, it’s just not all there is to it. She will give what she promises and nothing more, but no less either. She’s incredibly loyal as well, only she’s already picked to whom she’d be loyal to – to her sisters, and no other.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Vampirism: Lenore is a vampire, and thus sustains off of blood. The source of her abilities are all stemmed from this so she shares what they're capable of, and includes:
It should be noted, however, that she's a peacemaker. She'll resort to violence only when someone else starts the altercation, not necessarily when she's been threatened. Physical fights are not her brand.
INVENTORY:
Nothing but the clothes and accessories she usually wears.
MOONBLESSING: Cordis
